Applications Erich Sokol Prize1. Controller, purposes of processing, and legal bases
Kunstmeile Krems Betriebs GmbH prioritizes the protection of your personal data.
We therefore store, process, and use data that you have provided on our website during the submission process in accordance with legal regulations. We do this because by submitting your work, you are initiating the process for being honoured with the Erich Sokol Prize. (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR), making the processing of your data essential to complete the application process.
2. Storage period
After the period of three years following the completion of the submission process, the data will be deleted.
3. Data categories
We process the following categories of data:
- Basic data (name, date of birth, etc.)
- Communication addresses
- Submission documents (portfolio, short biography)
4. Categories of recipients
Your data will be passed on by us to processors in connection with the handling of the submission process, e.g. our IT service providers for the processing and storage of data (such as hosting) and the internet service provider that operates the software.
Your data will be processed within our organisation by the relevant persons who decide on the selection of the submitted portfolios / prizewinners and will therefore be shared with them – e.g. the responsible specialist department, the jury.
In specific cases, we will also pass on the data to our advisors, such as lawyers for the defence against claims or tax consultants for clarifying tax issues.
We do not pass on the data to third parties for their own purposes.
We do not transfer your data to recipients in third countries or to international organisations.
5. Obligation to provide data
You are not contractually or legally obligated to provide us with the data. If you do not provide us with the data, we will not be able to process your submission.
6. Profiling and automated decision-making
We do not use profiling or automated decision-making as part of the submission process.
7. Rights of the person concerned
Data subjects have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object within the framework of the statutory provisions.
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, you are free to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
