OPEN AIR SESSION
with Laura ItandehuiDescription
Summer, sun, music and accessible art! The Mexican musician and “Cantautora” Laura Itandehui will be a guest at the first “Open AIR Session” in July. She has songs for the Museumsplatz in her luggage. “Itandehui” means “flower from heaven” in an indigenous language of the Mixteca region in Oaxaca. Her music combines styles from different parts of Mexico - simple, touching and poetic. During her residency at AIR - ARTIST IN RESIDENCE Niederösterreich (AIR), she will celebrate her Austrian debut at the Glatt&Verkehrt festival.
Klaus Krobath, curator and program director of AIR, introduces Laura Itandehui, the project “Seeds of Life” and the international residency program.
“Seeds of Life”, an architectural-sculptural intervention by Roosa Tulvio & Mathias Gmachl, transforms the museum square in Krems into a sensory experience space. The unique sculptures are an ideal place to get to know AIR artists, listen to music, talk about art, chat and chill out.
Bring your drinks and enjoy this special atmosphere in the open air - free and uncomplicated.
Meeting point: Museumsplatz in front of the Karikaturmuseum Krems
Ticket: free of charge
Most of the outdoor event will be held in English.
