Frohner expressiv!Description
During the art info session, an art educator will be available in the exhibition for spontaneous discussions. The focus is on Adolf Frohner's expressive late work, which is being presented comprehensively for the first time in the current winter exhibition. The large-format paintings from the 1980s and 1990s, characterized by concentrated color worlds in red, black, and white, revolve around existential questions and make a powerful statement about painting.
The monumental series “Schmetterling metamorph” (Butterfly Metamorphosis) also invites discussion: in it, Frohner takes up the theme of transformation as a principle of life and brings wild painting to new heights. Kunstinfo offers space for questions, anecdotes, and dialogue—an open format for anyone who wants to learn more about the background and significance of these works.
