Mohsin Shafi is an interdisciplinary artist based in Lahore, Pakistan. His work is deeply rooted in his South Asian identity, exploring how it shapes his national, cultural, and spiritual perspectives. Through his art, he critically engages with societal structures that perpetuate oppression, marginalization, and psychological strain.

By blending visual elements with fragments of text, Shafi creates layered narratives that revisit familiar motifs, forgotten stories, and buried traumas. His compositions invite viewers to see reality through the lens of his own fiction—an imaginative perspective that oscillates between the real and the imagined.

His creative process unfolds in the spaces between translation and interpretation, where memories fade and reemerge, and stories evolve. Each piece becomes a multifaceted reflection of his current self and a dialogue with his cultural context.
