Martin Wistinghausen is a „singing composer“ and a „composing singer“. His bass solo CD De Profundis has just been released on "13oder14 records."

The vocal music is a focus of his work as a composer: he creatively engages with texts from different languages and eras, for example in works that have been created in recent years commissioned by Konzerthaus Dortmund, the Chorwerk Ruhr and the Rheinstimmen Ensemble.
