Geichman lives and breathes painting. Like Francis Bacon, she has a studio full of things - in her case, photographs, piles of papers and pictures, plants, cups, bowls, plates, ladles, squeegees, sticks, brushes, etc.. In Geichman's work, life is brought into art (e.g. cat hair in a finished painting) and art wanders back into life - paint chips stray from her studio onto her hands, hair, clothes and furniture.
