Jennifer Mills
Jennifer Mills builds her artistic practice around uncovering and exploring stories, primarily through drawing and watercolour. She is particularly interested in narratives that have been overlooked, hidden, or obscured, and approaches them with empathy and curiosity, seeking to reveal and unravel their complexities.
Both technically and conceptually, her work is driven by the tension between control and chaos. She embraces thematic rabbit holes, following unexpected paths and uncovering subtle, often obscure connections between seemingly unrelated subjects. This process of exploration is at the heart of her practice, resulting in work that is rewarding, open-ended, and consciously imperfect.
