"GENIUS LOCI" - an interdisciplinary art installation

Genius Loci is an art project that explores the deep connection between the historical soul and the living pulse of the city of Krems an der Donau. Inspired by the oldest sculptures of the Palaeolithic Age, the Venus of Galgenberg and the Venus of Willendorf, this project poses the question: "What is the symbol of life?"

Through an interdisciplinary approach that includes historical analysis, graphic sketches and interactive workshops with local residents, the unique relationship between nature, history and architecture of Krems is made visible. The exhibition invites visitors to feel the "breath" of the city - a metaphor for its vitality and spiritual depth.

On display are artistic installations that combine historical city maps, current drawings and sound recordings as well as personal perceptions of the inhabitants. These elements merge into a lively dialog between past and present, nature and architecture.

Experience a visual and auditory journey through Krems an der Donau and discover the genius loci - the spirit of the place - in a unique artistic presentation.
