Barbara Höller
Barbara Höller is a visual artist whose work focuses on conceptual painting, objects, and spatial interventions. She also occasionally works with photography and video. Her artistic interest lies in individual and social experiences of space, which she explores through strictly abstract forms, adhering to or varying rules and regulations in her conceptual approach.
In addition to her own artistic work, she frequently initiates or participates in collaborative projects (including in the seven-member women's art troupe “Vakuum,” in years of joint projects with architect Konrad Rautter, in the interactive artist group “Celle” at the Künstlerhaus, and in the more recent project “4paper,” in which four artists explore paper as a medium).
As a curator, she has organized or co-organized several large and small exhibitions (including “Zeitlose Zeichen” at the Künstlerhaus) and has been directing the exhibition space “sehsaal” in Vienna since 2016.
