András Visky is a renowned Hungarian playwright and director who lives and works in Cluj-Napoca/Kolozsvár/Klausenburg. After decades of writing plays, poems, and essays, he published his first novel, “Die Aussiedlung“ (German edition: Suhrkamp 2025, translated from Hungarian by Timea Tankó), in 2022. The book attracted enormous attention in Hungary and is now in its fifth edition there. In Austria and Germany, the novel quickly reached top positions on several bestseller lists.
