The Spotlight Tour offers a clear and engaging overview of Austrian art history, showcasing masterpieces across different eras and styles. Among the featured works are icons such as Egon Schiele and Oskar Kokoschka, expressive Baroque paintings by Kremser Schmidt, and Biedermeier masterpieces by Friedrich Gauermann and Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller. Important representatives of Austrian mood impressionism, including Emil Jakob Schindler and Marie Egner, also take center stage. A special highlight is Anton Hlavaček’s monumental painting “Panorama of the Danube Valley with the Ruins of Dürnstein Castle” (1905).
