Oscar Lebeck, *1993 in Hamburg, studied at the Leipzig Academy of Visual Arts and completed the postgraduate Master’s programme Art in Context at the Berlin University of the Arts. His practice explores how archaeological and historical traces can be made visible through experimental photography and constructed spatial models. He investigates questions of authorship, reproduction and representation, using photography as a tool for research and spatial inquiry. He received a travel grant from the Saxony Cultural Foundation to the Goethe-Institut Hanoi (2021–22), was a fellow at Künstlerhaus Edenkoben (2023), and a guest artist at Sixi International Artist-in-Residence Project in Nanjing and Atelierhaus Salzamt Linz (2025).
