This exhibition portrays female personalities of Krems from the past 150 years from various perspectives. These figures include the kindergarten teacher Margarete Schörl, the painter Anna Weber-Tischler, and the “world’s oldest female motorcyclist,” Mitzi Nahmer. Special emphasis is given to the topics of women’s careers, nonconformism, and the representation of women in the public sphere. This look back in history is juxtaposed with the contemporary works of the artist Iris Andraschek. The exhibition is accompanied by an art project in the public space by Andrea Brunner-Fohrafellner.
